ALASKA WILDLIFE CONSERVATION CENTER
Seymour:
Seymour is the youngest moose who was orphaned when his mother was killed at a construction site in Anchorage. He arrived at AWCC in mid June 2006 when he was about 3-4 weeks old.
Note: These moose have participated in dietary studies and have also appeared in movies and television commercials.
Vic:
Vic is the moose with the largest antlers. He was orphaned in 2000 when his mother was hit by a car.
Chimo:
Chimo arrived at the center when he was just three to four days old. He has a hoof deformity that requires his hooves to be trimmed regularly. This debilitating condition is also found in wild moose although when untreated, survival rates are poor.
